What inspired you to become an Athletic Therapist?
I developed an interest in athletic therapy as it is a blend of science and sport. I grew up competing in Taekwon-do and I always had a passion for delving into the science of the human body and how we function. I discovered athletic therapy as a medium that enables me to combine my passions as well as find fulfilment in working to make an impact in someone's life.
What is the one piece of advice you wish every client knew?
That it's okay to feel frustrated, and you are not alone in what you are going through.
What do people find most surprising about AT?
The range of knowledge we acquire through continuing education, AT is more than just taping ankles!
Describe your proudest moment or greatest success as an AT
My proudest moment as an AT was the last day of my final practicum while studying to become an Athletic Therapist. While there were many struggles over that year, the support and gratitude I received from the team was heartwarming, and continues to fuel my passion for working in sport.
