The Academy Athletic Therapist provides athletic therapy services to Wild FC Academy athletes, supporting injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play processes. The role operates within the club’s Integrated Support Team (IST) structure, aligning Academy medical practices with First Team standards to support long-term player development.

Position Summary The Academy Athletic Therapist provides athletic therapy services to Wild FC Academy athletes, supporting injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play processes. The role operates within the club’s Integrated Support Team (IST) structure, aligning Academy medical practices with First Team standards to support long-term player development. Key Responsibilities • Provide on-field and clinical athletic therapy support during Academy practices, matches, and events. • Assess, manage, and treat acute and chronic injuries. • Design and deliver individualized rehabilitation and return-to-play programs. • Support athlete preparation and recovery before and after Academy practices. • Implement injury prevention strategies aligned with Academy training demands. • Communicate injury status, availability, and progress with coaches and IST staff. • Maintain accurate medical documentation and reporting in line with club standards. people@calgarywildfc.com CALGARYWILDFC.COM • Educate athletes on recovery, self-care, and injury risk reduction. • Support emergency action plans and duty-of-care requirements. • Seek guidance and support from first team staff to ensure alignment across club levels Qualifications & Experience • Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) or equivalent. • Registered and in good standing with the relevant professional body. • Valid professional liability insurance.  • Experience in elite youth, academy, or high-performance sport environments preferred. • CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
